MEDICAL GRADE DISPLAY SYSTEMS
Today, flat panel displays in the healthcare arena have increasing capacity to offer improved contrast ratios, truer colors, better energy efficiency, high luminance and more. A variety of vendors continue to improve the technology to better display imaging modalities, including computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), X-ray, positron emission tomography (PET), mammography and ultrasound, and to ensure screens remain DICOM (digital imaging and communications in medicine) compliant.
TRAINING AND SIMULATION ROOMS
The ability to teach and record medical teams with modern technology solutions enhances knowledge and information exchange. Capturing a critical teaching moment and delivering it on demand to others is an innovative approach for assisting the never ending knowledge transfer going on in the medical industry. We are grateful to be able to provide solutions to those who provide health and safety to us. It's the least we can do.
ASSET & STAFF TRACKING
There are 27 wheel chairs hiding in cubby holes across C and D wing, while A wing just submitted a request for 15 new ones. With today's asset tracking technology solutions, you can be aware of this. Track any asset, or any staff member for that matter. RFID broadcast sensing coupled with wifi and low voltage control can allow for some amazing insights. For example, did you know you can automate and log hand sanitation compliance by tracking proximity to the dispensers?
CRITICAL FACTOR MONITORING
Drugs, vaccines, blood and tissues must be stored in specified temperature and relative humidity environments. These environments require continuous monitoring! Let us help you find the perfect Monitoring System. Deploy sensors to monitor everything from temperature, moisture, power, motion, and more. Log the data captured, and get alerted in the event of a failure. In many cases the cost of not monitoring outweighs the cost of system implementation. For example, loosing 1 or 2 medical cold storage units to coolant loss can cost more than a simple temperature monitoring system.
Audio Visual For
If you need supplemental Audio Visual equipment for your Virtual Training or Virtual Health Care Infrastructure, or you would like to discuss building a new infrastructure for your center, we would love to talk. We have been dealing with Video Conferencing and the unique challenges it presents since the video phone was invented, and long before the iphone ever was.
PATIENT & INFANT SECURITY
Our Founder Caleb Gaul became a Stanley Healthcare Patient Security Certified Engineer in 2016 while designing an infant security solution for Maine Medical Center's Labor And Delivery Unit in Portland, Maine. The Stanley "Hugs" solution protects 2 million infants annually at over 1,600 hospitals worldwide. It’s the global #1 infant security system. It works by placing small unobtrusive bracelets on a patients ankle or wrist, which are tracked throughout the hospital, and can even lock doors and stop elevators if a patient gets close to an exit. Another great technology to be aware of is Safe Place infant and pediatric security. If you are curious about how this works, contact us, or someone directly at the manufacturer for more information.
MORE ABOUT VISITOR SECURITY
There are several other amazing technologies designed specifically for protecting infants and patients from wandering, or abduction attempts. Given the complexity of patient care today, Patient Security Systems are becoming a necessity and these systems can improve the outcome for patients at risk of abduction attempts, reduce costs, and limit risk for the healthcare organization. It is an extensive and complicated process to plan and implement a system, requiring collaboration from several trades, vendors, and multiple department heads from your hospital, including IT, Security, and most importantly, the nursing staff.
Being at the hospital is not fun, everyone knows that. In fact, sometimes it's down right scary! The Founders at Remote Design Group want to help you redefine the hospital experience. With your knowledge of medical care, coupled with our expertise in art, media, and technology, we can turn cold uninviting places into amazing adventures. Turn MRI's, CT's, and other scanning machines into spaceships, pirate islands and other adventures to make the procedures tolerable and even fun for children. Deploy Beautiful Audio Video
& Lighting Solutions to create an amazing atmosphere.

A remote temperature monitor is a thermometer that has been upgraded for the internet age. It's a digital thermometer that tracks ambient changes in temperature. This sensor then streams the temperature data using wireless technology such as WiFi, Bluetooth or GSM. Perfect for medical refrigeration units that house expensive medicines and materials, or products that require constant temperature control to ensure quality and safety.

Let us help you control and monitor your AV, Security, HVAC, Shades, Lighting, Power, and IoT devices.
SMART BUILDING AUTOMATION
Smart Buildings, or building automation is the automatic centralized control of a building's heating, ventilation and air conditioning, lighting and other systems through a building management system or building automation system (BAS). The objectives of building automation are improved occupant comfort, efficient operation of building systems, reduction in energy consumption and operating costs, and improved life cycle of utilities. The future of smart building management is here today.
“Integrated audio-visual experiences are becoming a mainstay in virtually every venue of daily life, including transportation hubs, through which millions of travelers pass,” says Brad Grimes, senior director of communications for AVIXA.
At Remote Design Group, we’re at the forefront of creating a new kind of experience — one that is compelling, immersive, engaging and increasingly grounded in audio-visual solutions.
DEMO ROOMS & SHOWCASES
For many businesses today, coming up with a new demo idea can be a challenge. It's hard to know what's available when you don't have time to devote to researching all the options. If you are a business that relies on pitching, presenting or demonstrating to clients to get those projects off the ground, then you will recognize the growing need for a meeting space that enables that process. That space must allow for not only the presentation of ideas, but also for the process of gaining feedback and interaction from clients.
LOBBIES AND ENTRANCES
Remote Design Group has the innovative technology and consultation experience you need to create exciting and engaging lobby experiences. Display important info, schedules, or messages from partners. Create attention-grabbing displays to draw people into your message. Engage your audience with interactive content such as augmented reality, gesture and touch-screen experiences. No matter if you’re a small business owner, a corporate exec for a global company or someone in between, the bottom line is this: digital signage is today’s golden ticket to captivating your target audience, elevating the customer experience, and as a result, driving greater sales. It’s that simple. The sophistication in the market leading signage technology will blow your mind, while at the same time, a whole new market of mid range and entry level options are now available, allowing small business to compete with their large neighbors, at a much more affordable price point.
If you own a retail store, whether large or small, you’re always striving to find ways to differentiate your business from competitors. One of the ways you can do this is through a commercial audio system for your store that not only entertains and retains customers, but can improve employee morale and retention, and act as an extension to your brand. We can help with system design, installation, and even content distribution. A poorly installed system can often do more harm than good and increase cost, so it’s imperative to consider the key values and benefits of a professional commercial audio system for your retail store, and hire a professional .
There are two new forms of immersive technology taking the world by storm right now. Virtual and Augmented Reality, and Immersive Digital Spaces, also called Projection Caves. This man is standing in an enclosed room where can choose the environment that surrounds him. Egyptian villa, Swiss Alps, Coral Reef, you choose. Just 10 years ago, this technology was only available to huge theme parks. Today, we can deliver mobile or installed solutions that fit any size and budget.
Remote Design Group believes customer experiences can and should be magical. A popular example is this sandbox, that projects topological images onto it in real time, as you re-shape the sand. With interactive or 3-D sensing technology, you can amaze your customers. Invite them to engage. Detect when shoppers approach, touch, pick up or put down a product, triggering delightful and informative experiences at that critical moment when they are considering a purchase. Leverage any number of new technologies to merge the digital world with the physical one in your store front.
EMERGENCY ALERT SYSTEMS
While the advent of mobile phone technology offers communication access to anyone, anytime, for large open areas, Alert Paging systems are still the most efficient way to deliver emergency alerts. Manufacturing plants, industrial parks, municipal areas, and other multi-facility campuses are best served by giant voice notification using text-to-speech (TTS) or mobile integration technology.
Today, new technologies such as smartphones and social media platforms offer new ways to communicate with the public, and the information ecosystem is much broader. Include additional official channels, such as government social media accounts, opt-in short message service (SMS)-based alerting systems, and reverse 911 systems. Integrate mainstream media outlets and weather applications on connected devices; and unofficial channels, such as first person reports via social media.
Many media and entertainment organizations struggle with the challenges of content storage, transformation, and distribution. As production standards rise from HD to UHD/4K, 8K, and beyond, the amount of data associated with any given project grows exponentially. Adding to these concerns are the rapidly changing methods of bringing media content to consumers. Broadcast over a limited number of channels has given way to hundreds of ways to consume media via over-the-air, cable, satellite and Internet connections, using broadcast, on-demand, and streaming models.
International studies indicate that the use of smart mobile devices and their accompanying educational applications (apps) can revolutionize young children’s learning experiences. Although there is a vast array of educational apps for preschoolers, they are not actually educational in their majority. To evaluate educational mobile apps, we suggest creating a rubric in four areas: content, design, functionality, and technical quality. We have found the best solution to be guided custom curriculum development.
Remote Design Group can provide full support for your media production project. We're not just experts at sharing and displaying media, we make it too! If you have never "produced" a video for your business before, we can lead you through every phase of the process. If you have concerns about budget, we'll work with you to leverage the most “bang for the buck.” We work hard to bring a professional demeanor to our projects, in knowledge of equipment, technique, and customer service.
Smart phones have completely saturated and dominated our society. If you don't offer mobile solutions to you customers, your competitors will.

MOTION SENSING & TRACKING
When it comes to the advanced capabilities that many camera and IR based security systems have, there are two mentioned most often – motion detection and motion tracking. Sometimes uttered in the same breath as is if they were interchangeable, motion detection and motion tracking are two very different things in the world of security technology. We can tell you what you need to know about both motion detection and motion tracking to differentiate one from the other, and find the solution that works for you.
NETWORKING FOR AUDIO & VIDEO
AV over IP stands for “Audio-Visual over Internet Protocol”. It is the transmission of audio-visual data over a network such as a LAN, WAN, or the internet. As opposed to traditional AV environments, AV over IP (also known as AV/IP) refers to the use of network equipment to transmit and switch video and audio. Specific networking hardware is sometimes required. Factors across all network topology layers both physical and not must be considered to properly distribute media over vast networks with quality and efficiency.
CYBER SECURITY SOLUTIONS
Develop an Integrated & Intelligent Approach to Securing Your IT Environment. Proven Expertise, Real-Time Defenses, Data-Driven Analytics, and Security Intelligence. Types of services include consultation, assessments, penetration and vulnerability testing, incident response, endpoint management, threat intelligence, network security, and Fraud Protection.
SOUND MASKING & ACOUSTICS
Sound masking is an ambient sound distribution system, it plays a sound similar to that of airflow, that’s specifically engineered to the frequency of human speech. With this, you can target conversational distractions and make them less distracting. Adding sound to a space actually makes the space seem quieter. It sounds counter-intuitive but it’s true. This is because the added sound reduces the intelligibility of human speech. When you can’t understand what someone is saying, their words are less distracting — in fact, you probably don’t even notice them.
TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT PLANS
The impact technology failure has on effective communication and collaboration in the meeting space is expensive. Postponed or relocated meetings, inability to view the prepared content, external attendees unable to see or hear are a few of the common issues found in improperly configured systems. Most of us wouldn’t buy a car and not service it, or set up infrastructure without maintenance arrangements. Because AV is often sourced through the construction process, or because the default support arrangement is ineffective, AV support is often overlooked until it is too late. Remote Design Group is committed to changing the technology support paradigm with a combination of Prevention and Cure services to decrease down time, and enable real time status monitoring.
The complex task of managing relationships with multiple installation vendors, and the hundreds of equipment manufacturers related to your systems is daunting. Leave the burdens of System & Contract Review, Scope of Work Clarification, Delivery, Communication, and Service Management to us. We ensure compliance standards are in place and met by all of your local technology vendors. We handle manufacturer warranty and service issues for you, and we can even keep all of your system related info in an online secure portal for you to access anytime, anywhere.
ROAD-MAPPING & CONSULTATION
Technology road-mapping is a flexible planning technique to support strategic and long-range planning, by matching short-term and long-term goals with specific technology solutions. Road-mapping techniques help companies to survive in turbulent environments, and help them to plan in a more holistic way to include financial and non-financial goals and drive towards a more sustainable development. Developing a road map has three major uses. It helps reach a consensus about a set of needs and the technologies required to satisfy those needs, it provides a mechanism to help forecast technology developments, and it provides a framework to help plan and coordinate technology developments.

Video surveillance involves the act of recording or observing a scene and looking for specific behaviors that are improper or that may indicate the emergence or existence of improper behavior. The video surveillance design process includes the identification of areas of concern and the identification of specific cameras or groups of cameras that may be able to view those areas. If it is possible to identify schedules when security trends have occurred or may be likely to occur, that is also helpful to the process.
Correctional Facilities, High value retail, sensitive manufacturing areas, and even educational facilities are turning to unified technology solutions to secure their locations. Control your surveillance, access control, detection, monitoring, and recording systems under a unified platform, cloud hosted and managed by industry leading experts.
Command center video wall technology allows your agents and engineers to make informed decisions. In some cases, a wide variety of sources must be available to be viewed on the video wall. Intuitive control systems give your staff an easy to operate interface to rapidly view the sources they need to monitor. Reliability is a must, and any design should include full redundancy, backup and emergency power delivery, and a dedicated network specially designed for networked audio and video solutions. When it comes to mission critical systems, we deliver state of the art performance, and proven reliability.
